An All-New, Integrated Design
The compact, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 999.8cc, inline-four-cylinder engine is designed with a high level of top-end performance plus strong low- to mid-range power The GSX-R1000R is equipped with the Suzuki Bi-Directional Quick Shift System that allows for clutchless upshifts and downshifts when the motorcycle is used in competition.
Periodical check and maintenance are essential for the safe riding. A motorcycle has a lot of components assembled, and as time goes by, degradation and abrasion of such components develops. Oil and liquids used in the engine, transmission and radiator play the roles of lubrication of the system, cooling and rust prevention to maintain the basic functions of a motorcycle. Human blood is cleaned in our lung and kidney and circulated in our body. However as the oil circulated in a motorcycle cannot be cleaned, replenishment and change are required in periodical checks or at times specified by the manufacturer.
